I’ve decided that the macro lens on the Nikon S1 is its best feature, apart from its tiny size. The image above was taken this afternoon. Weekend Update: Furman lost to GSU 24-27 in a heartbreaker. I watched the game on TV while chatting online with my UFFP pals. On Sunday things went very smoothly. … Read More “Walking a Thin Line” »

Tried a new concoction last night. Laura had discovered a wonderful flavor of Edy’s Grand Ice Cream – Espresso Chip. I drizzled a some Kahlua liquor over the top, and created a new taste. You only need a touch – a little of it goes a long way.
I know it wasn’t my imagination. As I was driving home from rehearsal last night I saw a brilliant fireball streak across the sky. It was greenish, and particles fell from its firey path. Because the trajectory, I’m fairly sure it wasn’t someone’s fireworks gone awry. However, given the date, I’m not willing to rule … Read More “Halloween Fireball” »
Now I remember why jack-o-lanterns have triangle eyes and jagged mouths. Straight lines are easier to carve into the thick, thick pumpkin skin.

Then, FU changed the weekend of homecoming, and I found myself needing to be at least three places at once. Laura figured that since I would be tied up with rehearsals and … Read More “Homecoming 2005” »

Note to self: Nevermind that your wife’s birthday is close to Halloween. Nevermind that you have a long tradition of including some kind of Halloween decoration or googah with her birthday gifts. DO NOT include a little stuffed witch with her gifts for her 50th birthday. Implied messages will be assumed.
OK, our team has got to stop this. Furman barely edged out the Citadel in triple overtime after coming from a fourteen point deficit. The turnaround only occured after back-up quarterback Renaldo Gray took over from Ingle Martin. Martin supposedly suffered from either a foot injury or cramps, which removed him from the game.
