Tried a new concoction last night. Laura had discovered a wonderful flavor of Edy’s Grand Ice Cream – Espresso Chip. I drizzled a some Kahlua liquor over the top, and created a new taste. You only need a touch – a little of it goes a long way.
Speaking of liquor, before dinner I had an ultra dry martini – olives with no vodka, gin, vermouth, or ice. Laura thinks a martini is only an olive delivery system, anyway.
And while on the subject of alcohol, I remember something we saw on our trip. We wandered into one of the very upscale shops in La Conner and saw a beautiful collection of hip flasks done in silver. Now, while we were able to admire the beauty and craftsmanship of these items, it made me wonder. What does it say about a person’s alcohol consumption to even own a hip flask, whether beautifully crafted or not? If I ever got the the place where I had to carry a small amount of booze with me everywhere, then I think I’d have a serious problem.
