Aunt Grace 90th Birthday-20

Saturday was my Aunt Grace’s 90th birthday. My cousin John held a surprise birthday party for her at his house, and many of the Ellenberg cousins gathered for the bash.

My mother, Aunt Ann, Aunt Lois, and Aunt Grace were all present for the event. Of course there was cake and munchies for the crowd.

Aunt Grace live in France for many years, and taught French at Eastern Carolina University in Greenville, NC. That should explain the Eiffel Towers on the cakes. We tried singing “Happy Birthday” in French, but didn’t do so well.

I hadn’t seen many of these cousins in years. Some I had a hard time recognizing. There were nine in my mother’s family, and each had their own large family, so the Ellenberg clan is numerous. It was nice to talk to many of them again.

Since I was in between rehearsals and an evening concert, I didn’t get to stay very long. I did manage to take a few photos, which are included in the slide show below:

Thank you, Suzanne. I’m working on another post that should be out tomorrow.
