The Depth of Winter

Posted on February 9, 2006 By Tom No Comments on The Depth of Winter

I have just felt uninspired as far as posting is concerned. I haven’t even felt like posting the obligatory post-Super Bowl analysis. Why bother?

One thing I have noticed. The spammers who leave comments have gotten a bit more creative. Their posts used to just say something like, "Good Job!", with links to whatever product they are peddling. Now the comments are a bit longer, and could almost be construed as an honest response to a particular post. However, there are a couple of giveaways. First, there is the ever-present link to some sort of commercial site. Then, the post itself often has some odd syntax, as if it were composed by someone not quite familiar with English. As always, these get deleted until the next one comes along.
