Downtown Shootings

Falls Park SignIt was a beautiful evening, so what better than to head downtown with the new camera to take pictures of what thousands of others have photographed – Falls Park.

I started snapping everything, slightly modifying the settings for experimentation.  I noticed at least half a dozen people also shooting photos in the park.  I almost abandoned the scenery to take photos of the photographers.  I might do that next time.  Regardless, I took advantage of the setting sunlight to get some fairly good shots.  You can click on these to get a larger view…

And finally, as I was crossing Liberty Bridge to head back to the car, I met an older lady using a walker slowly coming from the opposite direction.  She paused when she came to me and asked if I were shooting digital shots.  I answered, then she asked if I were a professional photographer.  Turns out that she was also an avid photographer, and pulled her digital SLR out of the bag hanging from the front of her walker.  I was delighted to see that despite the physical infirmities brought on by age, she was still able to enjoy her passions.
