There were more art shows in town yesterday at which you could not shake a stick. How’s that for not ending a sentence with a preposition?
John, Paul Wagenknect, and I had a quick couple of rounds of disc golf at Holmes Park in the morning. For the afternoon, Laura and I hit the art shows. First stop was the Pettigru Street Show. They actually had Toy Street blocked off, and had several artists with exhibits. Not seeing much there, we headed to the street art show at the West End. This one has lots more artisits with things we like. My good friend Russ Morin was there with his wood carvins, as was our former neighbor, Lynn Greer. We wound up buying one of her original watercolors for the bedroom. Now we just have to get it framed.
After dinner, we decided to do something crazy. We dropped the top of the Audi and rode up to Tryon, then up highway 176 to Saluda, then over to Cleveland. It was a fantastic night for a ride in the open. I think I’m going to love this car.
