When was the last time…

…you had a roll of film developed?

For me it’s probably last winter. I pulled out my Nikon N60 and tried it out with a couple of my new lenses just to see how 35mm film would behave with them.

…you actually “dialed” a number?

Can’t remember, but I did find an old phone with a dial while cleaning out the basement a couple of weeks ago.

…you played a CD?

I’m sure some would rather replace CD with “cassette” or “LP.” Actually, I play cassettes and LPs more often than CDs. Even when I get a CD, I usually rip it down to MP3s first then play on my iPod. I’m a bit lazier with non-digital formats.

…you used a pay phone?

It had to be at least ten years ago, before I had a truly portable cell phone.

…you formatted a floppy?

Hard to remember this one. Some of our older computers still have 3.5 floppies, and I’m sure I must have formatted one in the last couple of years.

…you sent a personal letter or post card?

Personally, it’s been a long time. However, Laura likes to send post cards to her mom when we’re out traveling.

…you got up to change the channels on your television?

More recently than most. Last week my next door neighbor inherited a TV without a remote. I helped him set it up, so I had to manually change the channels until his new universal remote was programmed. Occasionally I will change the channels on our bedroom TV without the remote.

I’m sure there are many more “When was the last time” questions out there, but most of these are so far removed that I can’t remember them.
