I tried my hand at editing a bit of video from the William Walker Singing last Saturday. I used just the basic version of the Pinnacle Studio software, and was actually pleased with the results. I find it much easier to work with than the Windows Movie Maker software.
This clip shows Bill Burns leading the singing of #127 “Green Fields” from The Sacred Harp. The text is the hymn “How Tedious and Tasteless.”
I may try editing and uploading something a bit more lively when I get a chance. Unfortunately, most of my video shows the backs of the song leaders. I guess they insisted on facing the lead (tenor) section because of the melody line. I’ll see if I’ve got any more shots of leaders actually facing the camera.
Next singing, I’ll know to find out where the lead section is first, and set up my camera accordingly.

Tom,
Did I notice that you blurred/blacked yourself out of the clip. Is that not you on the left side of the frame?
Great capture though.

Actually, I’m sitting behind that guy, off screen. I did that intentionally.
