It is one week to the day from Thanksgiving. I don’t know why, but Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, sometimes even moreso than Christmas. I truly hate the fact that it now gets obscured by all the Christmas rigamarole that begins even before Halloween. It’s probably too late for this for teachers, but I’ll put out another link to my lesson plan using Excel to track the Mayflower passengers.
Today was also the annual Community Thanksgiving Lunch at Reidville Elementary School. I arrived early, since my nephew, Alex, eats with his first grade class at the ungodly hour of 10:25 AM. That’s a brunch, at best. As I arrived, I could smell the sweet potatoes from half a mile away.
