I am now iPodal and xBoxed. I can now be entertained six ways from Sunday via tiny gadgets with more computing power than the one that powered the early Apollo program. Several of Chip’s friends had gotten xBox 360s, and were unloading their old xBoxes a cut-rate prices. He passed one along to me.
So the day after Christmas I loaded up the gadgets and we headed to Fort Pierce, battling with snowbirds and Tiger fans for pole positions on I-95. We made the drive in record time, and we arriced just in time for Christmas Turkey, the day after Christmas. Seems that our gatherings with the Wright family have been a day late all year – Thanksging turkey on Friday, Christmas turkey on the 26th, and the Rose Parade will be January 2. Go figure.
Today was spent on a boat ride, playing xBox, and scheming to go four-wheeling and Kayaking in Ocala. I like winter vacations.
