As I tweak the site, I’m discovering more and more cool things. There are some interesting e-mail possibilities (which I won’t mention because of Spam potential.) I also finally got the links page to work, although it won’t sort by category. Oh well – at least it’s a start.
Speaking of links, I guess I’m one of the last to discover Del.icio.us . They use the term “social bookmarking”, but I don’t see it as being any different from my providing a links page. They have just streamlined and formalized the process. I’ve got links set up on my account there, but I don’t know if I’ll keep them up. Unless I abandon my links page and go exclusively with this service, it seems a bit redundant.
And speaking of outsourcing, I’m still pondering what to do with web images. My web provider isn’t set up to support Gallery (which stinks – the situation, not the product) so I don’t have an easy way to upload images. My ASP gallery still works, but I’m trying to get away from ASP/Access. I’ve thought about getting a Flickr or Photobucket account, and just having the images off the main server. We shall see.
