More Flickr Finds for South Carolina

As it turns out, I’m not the only one who likes to drive around the state and take photographs. For some time now I have followed the travels of Flickr photographer and friend SisuDave from Greenwood. One of Dave’s pet projects is photographing businesses with a first name in the title, such as John’s Transmissions or Harriet’s Hair Styling.

It also appears that Brian the Red is not alone in his desire to photograph certain buildings in the state. JimmyWayne22 has a set of photographs he has taken of historic county courthouses in South Carolina. Jimmy has also photographed historical markers associated with the courthouses. He has also photographed post offices in various communities in the state.

In addition to these individuals, there are several Flickr groups dedicated to photography in South Carolina. The most active one right now is Kakalak, which also includes North Carolina. There is also a South Carolina and a South Carolina Friends group. JimmyWayne22 has also set up a group specifically for South Carolina Courthouses. I haven’t explored all of the groups for individual communities or counties, but I know there are some out there.
