I’ve been reading Raymond Khoury’s The Last Templar. So far, it seems to be an enjoyable cross between the Da Vinci Code and National Treasure. The chapters are very short, the action fast-paced, and it almost reads like a screen play. I could see this one becoming a movie.
I took the book with me to the doctor’s office to read in the waiting room. In the book, a character dispatches several of his equally disreputable colleagues by injecting an overdose of lidocaine into their necks. As the doc prepped me for a biopsy on a questionable spot on my neck, he injected it with – you guessed it – lidocaine! I think he might have been a bit puzzled by my concern.
