…as evidenced by the sign-in/out board in our office. Everyone else seems to be away at a conference or at meetings. I myself wonder why I showed up. I used the week to catch up on some filing and getting things squared away in my office. This morning we had two minor crises as a cleaning crew dismantled a computer lab we were about to use for training, and our Internet filters briefly went offline. However, with two schools under construction and multiple projects in the works, I fear this is just the calm before the storm.

As I drove in this morning one of our maintenance guys was kicking up a huge cloud of dust with his lawn mower. The sunlight filtering through the dust and trees caught my eye, so I had to snap a photo.

When i saw your first picture (the attendance board), my thought went to another possible title for the entry: “What’s wrong with this picture?” 🙂

Been there and done that. I almost believe in the Rapture when I go around my building and see the closed faculty and staff doors. But, there is opportunity here – opportunity to get stuff done (if only to keep maintenance from dismantling a computer lab which is due for imminant use). 🙂
