Ghost Hunters in Town

I was driving back from work today when I spotted this vehicle…

TAPS Van

The Ghost Hunters are in town.

Traffic was heavy, stop-n-go, and I had just pulled up to a light. I grabbed my camera and took a picture. As soon as I did, the folks in the black SUV right behind started laughing. They were the second part of the crew.

I had seen the SUV earlier. They had a strange device on the dash that looked too big to be a GPS. Once I figured out this was TAPS, I realized the device was the camera used to record their in-trip conversations for the show. However, I didn’t really recognize any of them.

After dinner Laura made me drive through the parking lots of the hotels in the Pelham/I-85 area to see if she could spot the van. No luck. George Clooney comes to town to make a movie and she’s not interested. I take a photo of the TAPS van, and she wants to go find them. Go figure.

It could be that they were just in route to some other location, but I think it would be cool if they were filming in town. There are certainly many purported haunted locations around town. The direction of travel would indicate something more than just a casual stop in town. I guess I’ll just have to watch the show to see what happens.
