After I finished my photo walk with the other Flickrites, it was time for Homecoming activities. I wasn’t sure how many of my friends would be around – it’s the 25th reunion for the class just before me, so there might have been some long lost classmates returning. I had commitments from two friends, Alan and Dwight, who would be coming in for the game. Apart from that, the schedule was open.
Each department has a drop-in for its graduates. Since I see these guys on a regular basis, and since most of my professors have retired, I usually don’t stop by the departments. Alan and I did pop by the education department for a moment, but we didn’t stay long.
We had the perfect parking places, right next to the stadium. Laura had also found us the perfect tailgating spot behind the temporary chemistry offices. Greg and Brian joined us for Henry’s Barbecue, and we spent our tailgating time catching up with Alan and Dwight.
The game itself was a bit more tense than we would have liked. Once again, the Paladins tried to lose it, but were able to squeak buy with a three-point win. I, of course, had the camera with me and kept snapping away. I got a couple of neat shots. My favorite was this one of Stefan Lafrance leaping into the air right before kick-off…
There were other shots that also came out well. Those, can be seen here…
