It dumped last night. The sound of the rain hitting the camper was soothing, but made me worry about the day’s plans. However, when we finally got up, the weather was spectacular.
Today we were going ATVing. Laura decided to pass, Karl’s nephews decided on more technical stuff and didn’t want a beginner tagging along, so that left Karl, Amy, and I to our own devices.
We started off along a powerline, then veered off into trails through the woods. Supposedly it’s a beautiful forest, but I didn’t see much of it while whizzing along the trail. I took to riding fairly quickly, and did enjoy it. Probably the biggest challenge was avoiding the deer hunters and their dogs.
We only rode for half a day, but we were covered with grime when we were finished. Back at the camp, we loaded the car and drove back to Fort Pierce. I felt human again after a long, hot shower.
