I’ve mentioned before how I like the fog. It always imparts a mystical quality to just about any view. My favorite fog is the type that burns off into morning sunshine, which can produce some interested back-lit images. This morning’s fog wasn’t that type, but I wasn’t going to be picky. I grabbed my camera and headed to my default photo spot down at FallS Park.
My shots of the falls were disappointing. There was too much red mud in the water, so everything looked dirty. The flowers, on the other hand, were very nice, and I got shots of foxglove and irises.
Didn’t know Foxglove was out. Guess I’d better head to the SC Botanical Gardens and see if they have any (maybe near the cabin where it used to be). That flower can prove to provide one of the more interesting compositional opportunities – particularly the pink variety. I have a 20 x 30 print on my wall that was particularly rewarding.
