Orange County Convention Center is enormous. It could easily handle anywhere from four to six large conferences. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the traffic patterns. Getting here this morning was an experience. Cars kept whipping (or trying to whip) in front of our shuttle bus, then gridlocking interesections. I think this is why I detest crowds – people are far too unpredictable.
Even on our own bus things were getting out of hand. One woman was most insistent that the driver let her off right there so she could walk the rest of the way. Fortunately he stuck to his guns (and safety regulations) and didn’t allow her off. She was in quite a tiff. I guess her opinion was that she was more important than the rest of us, and that her lateness would affect the conference more. Yeah, right.
