Catching a sunrise takes advanced planning. First, you need to stake out a location. Then, you need to get up in time. I had done neither this morning. I spotted the sun rising over my shoulder as I drove up toward Furman to take a few shots.
Fortunately, the sun had further to go in order to clear Paris Mountain, so first light was later in coming to Furman. I shot the Belltower from various angles, then headed around to the stone bridge for a couple of shots. This also gave me a chance to use the neutral density filter I’d just gotten last week.
