Dear Readers:
I’m having MAJOR problems with the blog and with the hosting company, Accuweb Hosting. The latest is an apparent virus attack on the blog. I have the Akismet plugin which is supposed to block spam comments. However, something keeps disabling that plugin. Therefore, until further notice all commenting on posts has been disabled. I’m hoping to get that fixed soon because I enjoy the feedback from these posts.
I’m still contemplating what to do with the website. Right now my version of WordPress is out of date. However, I can’t update to the latest version until I make radical changes to my hosting situation, even if I remain with Accuweb. Unless I stay right where I am, it looks like I’m going to lose something. Most likely that’s going to take the form of broken links for anyone who may have linked to specific posts.
Moving/changing is a hassle, which is why I haven’t yet done it. I’m sure that more than just links will be broken in the process. However, if you don’t change, you die, and I have no intentions of letting RandomConnections die. I’m still having too much fun with it.
I have new web space set up, and I’ll try migrating portions of the site over the next few weeks. We’ll see how that goes.
Tom
