I am now officially retired from church work. Sunday was my last at McCarter. We had the Cantrell wedding on Saturday, so it was a weekend full of church activities. Sunday was also John McCallum’s last service, so I let him steal most of commotion that would have been directed my way. It hasn’t sunk in yet that I will finally be a normal person with weekends available for all sorts of adventure.
In addition to Strom, this week also saw the passing of several other screen and political icons. Forget death trilogies – we’ve got them dropping in droves.
This morning I moved into a new office. This one is right next to the server room, so I’ll be closer and can keep an eye on things. Yeah, right. At least I’ll be closer to the storage space in that server room. I don’t know of too many people that have two offices.
