Miscellaneous

Sometimes going on vacation does more harm than good, or, at least, plants evil seeds of dissatisfaction and desire.  I now want a boat.  Not a kayak or other paddling thing, but something with a motor.  It doesn’t have to be a yacht, but I want something large enough to be comfortable, powerful enough to manage tricky tidewaters, but small enough to explore the rivers and inlets of the coast.  I’m really, really tired of just driving over these beautiful swamps, marshes, and rivers.  I’ll have to convince Laura that we should at least take the kayaks down for a long weekend.

Of course, if I have a boat, I need a place to keep it.  A waterfront vacation home with a dock would be ideal, but I’d settle for a condo with marina privileges.
