Supposedly, it’s the luckiest day of the century. Last year it was 06-06-06, with all its Anti-Christ overtones and ominous portents.
I bought a lottery ticket. However, I doubt that today’s luck will single me out. Kind of like the movie "Bruce Almighty", where Bruce answers everyone’s prayers to win the lottery, and the payout when distributed amongst all the petitioners only amounts to pennies.
I’ve also read where many couples were wanting to set this date for weddings. Our friend Karen B said that if they felt like they needed that much luck, then perhaps they should be having second thoughts about getting married.
Who knows? Regardless, I doubt 08-08-08 next year will get the same attention.
