Photo Walk with Karen B

River Place Zoom

Been a busy week, so this is the first of three quick posts…

Wednesday night Karen Buchmueller’s husband, Herman, and Laura had a meeting with the American Chemical Society, so the two of us decide to do a photo walk downtown, starting at Falls Park. We spent some time right at the entrance to the park, letting Karen try out her new 50mm lens. From there we headed to one of the back alleys that we had explored on my last photo class.

We took shots of interesting architectural bits. Another photographer was taking shots of a youth dance group against the interesting brick on one of the warehouses. We tried not to disturb them.

Our route took us back around to Pendleton Street, then around to Main. We ended our walk back at Liberty Bridge, experimenting with long exposure zooms and shots of the falls.

It was a great walk, and we enjoy taking pictures while our spouses were at work. Below is a slide show from Flickr of the shots I posted.

Some really great shots, Tom. I like some of those zoom shots. Cool effects.
