Peter Yarrow

Music

What a week. It started Monday by spending the evening with a musical legend. We went to a benefit for Max and Trudy Heller, at which Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul, and Mary, performed. The word “concert” could only loosely be applied here.

The music was moving only because of its history and in the context in which it was presented. Peter is getting on up in years and his voice doesn’t cut it as much — that and the fact that he was very “preachy”. However, it was fun to see the David Shi and former Gov. and Secretary of Education Dick Riley on stage singing “Puff the Magic Dragon.”

The deck was finished this week, and on Wednesday the hot tub was delivered and installed. We were finally able to use it last night, after the electricity was connected and the temperature and chemicals stabilized. This thing is huge compared to our last tub. I could almost put my kayak in and surf the jets.
