Galloping on My Dinosaur

I can’t believe it! Someone has created a tribute pageto Larry Thor, who recorded the children’s album “Galloping on my Dinosaur.” The album has wonderfully twisted songs, and my siblings have been fighting over who actually owns the one LP of it in our family. I’ve tried to convert it to CD, but my copy has lots of scratches for overuse. This site has all of the songs in MP3 format, as well as the lyrics.

Tony Hillerman has another mystery out. It apparently came out with no warning, as far as we’re concerned. Now I’m reading our signed, first edition of The Sinister Pig, and Laura is reading her autographed copy of the latest Martha Grimes. I didn’t use to read many mysteries until I met Laura. There is something comforting about having the same, familiar characters, such as Jim Chee and Leaphorn, however, Martha Grimes seems to take it to the extreme. I had to stop reading her books because they became more and more contrived as to how they got all the same unusual characters into the same situation, mostly at the expense of plot.

Bob and I run the Tyger today. It’s only slightly lower than flood stage, so I’m a little concerned.
