Biblically Correct Blindness

Posted on February 19, 2006 By Tom No Comments on Biblically Correct Blindness
Rants, Religion

Yesterday’s Greenville News had an article in the Religion section about a company that provides tours of Colorado museums, with an eye toward promoting creationism.  A guide for BC (Biblically Correct) Tours was quoted in the article as declaring that humans and dinosaurs were both created on the sixth day, and that they coexisted in harmony in the Garden of Eden.  Just fascinating.  I’m sure there were unicorns and phoenixes there, too.

Along the same vein, I stumbled across this website which takes the Creationist view a step further.   This guy actually disputes the Copernican theory of the Solar System, and declares that the Earth is the fixed center of the universe.

In both of these cases, elaborate explanations are contrived to make observed phenomena fit their world view, whether supported by evidence or not.  Apparently their God delights in confounding human kind with spurious evidence that doesn’t fit His Authorized Word.  With their willingness to suspend critical analysis, it is no wonder that the majority of these bozos vote Republican.
