Carolina Ghost Towns – Kingville

There is zero evidence that anything ever existed. There’s a historical marker and nothing else. I was out in the immediate vicinity and never saw the first vehicle pass.

I drive through there at least twice a week. My family is from there and my ancestors as well. Our family still owns land down there. The evidence is there if you ask the right people… you know, the ones actually from there. My great grandfather owned land as well as a shop there; my mother recalled going there as a child. My grandfather and his siblings all had stories and vividly remembered the times back then. It’s okay to just say you don’t know anything about it rather than minimizing its existence.
