Twenty years ago today Laura and I got married. Christmas was on a Saturday, as was New Year’s, so we did the untraditional and got married on a Tuesday night. It was a small wedding, with my brother Stephen officiating, my brother Houston as best man, and Laura’s sister Amy as maid of honor. We were married in the little white frame chapel at Travelers Rest Methodist church.
So today we celebrate with a weekend get-away to one of the Disney resorts, with another longer trip planned for the Bahamas a bit later.
The past twenty years have flown past far too quickly. I’m hoping we can slow down and enjoy the next 20+ years with as much love and happiness as we’ve shared over the previous 20.
