Around 1:30 I headed over to the Main Branch of the Greenville County Library. The Harry Potter Party was supposed to start at 2:00, but I had some doubts about my attendance.
As I watched the young wizards and witches arrive I realized that my uneasy feelings were right on target. "Hey, Mom! There’s a creepy stranger with a white beard taking pictures of kids." As darling as these kids looked in their outfits, and as much as I would have loved to have taken loads of photos, I didn’t take any. Not in this day and age. I quietly left without joining the party.
Thank you, perverts of the world, for ruining innocence – both of the children, and those poor muggles who are still children at heart.
