Holey Week

This year, Holy Week, is anything but holy.  Rather, it’s more like the week from hell, at least from a scheduling standpoint.  Between Chorale rehearsals, choir practice, and church services, I’ve had one evening to myself.  That doesn’t count all the deadlines at work that are coming due.

Wednesday was my last choir rehearsal with the Fourth Pres group.  They are a great group of singers – very responsive, and easy to work with.  I will miss them.  Last night was our Maundy Thursday service, and tonight we have a Tenebrae Service of Darkness.  We finish the gloom and doom hymns and brighten things up considerably on Easter Sunday, which will be my last Sunday as interim choir director.  What ever will I do with all this free time?
