In all of the hustle of having the flu and then catching up at work, I somehow neglected to acknowledge a HUGE event in our family on this website. I have a new great niece! Olivia Emily Caddell was born a week ago on October 7 to my nephew Chip and his wife Anna.
According to Anna…
She weighed 7 lbs, 4.1oz, and she was 20.5″ long… She is a beautiful baby- tall and thin, with big funny feet and a very fine layer of dark hair. She has large blue eyes, a perfect little nose, and her dad’s full lips. Her skin is perfect baby pink, and to me she is the loveliest thing in the world! She is very strong, and is constantly kicking and pushing herself up to try and look around.
It was a difficult time for Anna, and Olivia is still in NICU with breathing problems. However, she is steadily improving, and they are hoping that the little one will be able to come home soon. I certainly will be ready to meet my new niece, but I’m afraid I will have to wait in line along with all her other admirers. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy the photos Chip is posting.
