Cul-de-sac Party

Now that the new cul-de-sac has been finished on our street, our neighbors decided to throw a party down there. About twenty adults and around ten children showed up to eat fried chicken and potluck side dishes.

It was great seeing our neighbors. This neighborhood has been good to have regular get-togethers. Of course, there were many vows that “We should do this more often.” Here are the few photos that I took from the event…

This party also served as the launch party for our new website – www.lakefairfield.org. I had obtained the domain name a year or so ago, just as construction was beginning on the project. At the time I was too busy to finish it, and it seemed that emotions in the neighborhood were running high with all the changes. So I let it stay dormant until everything was finished and looking nice.

The new website has local news feeds, personal blogs, and discussion forums for the neighborhood. I’m hoping that our neighbors take advantage of this new communication tool.
