I’m looking and my last blog post was for last Sunday. I find it hard to believe that it’s been a whole week since I last posted anything here, but it’s been that kind of week. Right now I’m sitting in an airport waiting to board a flight Maine, where I hope to get some photos of lighthouses. During the wait, I’ll try to catch up on blogging.
Here’s a brief rundown of what’s been happening this week. I may write more about these when I get a chance…
- Work – frenetic pace with reports, etc, all due before the end of our fiscal year on June 30. This includes interviews for a new tech position, planning for new computer deployment, getting ready for PowerSchool, and trying to handle summer staff development.
- Neighborhood Newsletter – met with some of our neighbors about creating a newsletter. Still wondering what to do about www.lakefairfield.org, which only seems to attract spam users at this point.
- Class Reunion – Met with some of my classmates from high school, whom I hadn’t seen in 30 years. We’re planning for our reunion of the Class of 1979.
- Digital Classroom Pilot Project – traveled to Columbia (on my day off) to meet with state department folks about a new program designed to replace textbooks with digital media. That’s worth a whole blog post in and of itself.
So, in the midst of these activity we decide to abandon the heat and humidity of Greenville for cooler climes. I may or may not have consisten Internet access, so it may be another week before I post.
