First Flannel

I think it’s finally fall.  I put on my first flannel shirt of the season this evening, and if the weather peeps are to be believed, it’s supposed to drop into the upper 40’s this evening.

Yesterday was another beautiful, relaxed day, with the possible exception of the Furman game.  Not too bad for a birthday celebration, as it was for Laura.  We had a nice dinner at Justin’s Steakhouse, then decided to do the Saluda-Tryon loop in the moonlight.

Church went smoothly again, and the rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing, again.  We patently avoided Fall for Greenville because of the crowds.  It’s a fine festival, and wonderful showcase for our city.  However, my axiom about waiting in line for restaurants holds for festivals, too.  With as many options in town, it makes no sense to wait more than 30 minutes in line for food.
