A Campaign in the Toilet

Toilet Campaign

OK, I don’t care if you are running for sewer commission. It just doesn’t sound like a good idea to put a toilet on your campaign signs.

I drove past these signs a couple of times this past week and did a double-take – did that guy really put a toilet on his sign? I caught the name and briefly registered that there was something unusual.

The first impression, though, was that this was a sign put up by the guy’s opponent. If I barely recognized the toilet, there was no way I was going to pay attention to the small lettering for “Sewer Commission.”

I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It just proves the old saying, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity.”

You know, my first thought was: “Why would you actively campaign to put up with a bunch of crap?”
